Blepharitis

Word of the Day: blepharitis (Inflammation of the eyelids).

I was studying my medical transcription today and I came upon the "Eye" portion. Unfortunately. I don't know how many of you know but I have a ... I guess you would call it a fear of eyes. I don't like people touching my eyes, I don't like watching people touch their own eyes, and I don't like getting close to other people's eyes. I really just get very creeped out. I don't know why either. So of course, while reading all about how the eye works, with all it's muscles and tissue, I start to get pretty weird-ed out.

But it only gets better. Next I get to learn about the diseases of the eye! Oh...my...goodness! So far while learning all this MT stuff, I've learned to try and visualize the disease or part of the body so I can more accurately remember how to spell it correctly (it's just how my brain works). Now I am visualizing eye diseases, which I really cannot handle. I decided to just ignore the definitions and figure out how to spell everything, just for this session. Jeez.

I'm a weirdo I know...oh well.

I have the hardest time with the words in the ear and the eye. That is a smart way to memorize it all. I still don't have it down. Anyway, good luck!!
