Tons to Update

So, I've got lots of pictures and updating to do! So here we go...

This is my cutie baby. He loves sticking his tongue out now, so that's what he doesn't pretty much all the time :)
This is our new bed spread. In my attempt to be super frugal mommy, I got a rain check on it last week when it was on sale at Target. It came with shams, pillowcases, a sheet set, comforter and skirt all for $37 for a king! Now that's a deal.

This picture is of Holden Beach, North Carolina. On labor day the surf was supposed to be amazing in Holden so Brian and our friend Tyson drove up there early in the morning. Well, I guess it wasn't as awesome as they had hoped so they went 45 minutes farther north to Wrightsville Beach where they knew the surf was better (they called Tyson's wife, Jen to get the report). The spot they wanted to surf required paddling across an inlet that was about a 1/4 of a mile wide. During high tide this isn't so bad, because it's trying to suck you into the inlet. However, on their way back it was low tide which was trying to suck them out to sea. I guess it was pulling pretty hard and Brian kind of got caught a bit and when Tyson got to shore he couldn't see Brian. So he called 911 because he thought Brian had been washed out. Luckily my stud of a husband has great endurance and just kept on paddling and did eventually make it back to shore, after they had people out looking for him. I am so grateful that Brian is healthy and strong and was able to keep himself from going out to sea. I know Heavenly Father was watching over him that day!

This picture is funny because mine and Brandon's hair is crazy! We had gone for a walk and it was pretty windy outside. He liked it though, my little outdoors man.

This last picture is Brian and Brandon at the Beach Boogie Festival. We were watching our friend run the 5k race (we didn't run it because it was a ridiculous price). It was soo hot and humid though! Phew, I thought we were going to melt to death. Brian took me to get slushes at Sonic afterwards because I was pretty cranky from being so hot and walking around. Poor Brian has a crazy wife. I can't help it though, I hate being that hot! :)
