On friday we decided to go to the beach because it was beautiful outside. The surf was not supposed to be so great- but Brian decided to give it a try anyways. When we got there the surf was flat. It looked like a lake! After we stayed for a bit there were a few clean waves that Brian was able to practice catching. The weather for me was perfect, however. A slight breeze, mid 80s, and partially cloudy. We were able to put up the umbrella (and not worry about it blowing away) and I would dip my toes in the water and then go sit back down for a while then go dip my toes in etc. It was so relaxing for Brandon. As always he fell right asleep This picture was me just hanging out, but it's actually a good picture of me...so hey, I thought I would post it.
This weekend we decided to try to go to the temple (finally!) After Brandon was born it kind of made it impossible for us to go because he needed to eat too often. Now that he is on rice cereal he can go 4 hours with out eating, hurray! So we woke up at 4:30am, got ready and I fed Brandon just before 5. Right after I fed him we drove to the temple (2 hours 30 minutes). Brian went to the first session at 8am. I stayed in the foyer with Brandon, fed him again at 8:30am and played and waited. Brian got out around 9:50am, then we basically switch places. I got out around 12pm. Then we drove next door to "Nephi's Book" (basically a Deseret Book) and change into regular clothes. Next we drove to Sumter (30 minutes) to pull into Logan's where I feed Brandon in the back seat. After he's done eating we went into Logan's for lunch. We hopped back into the car to drive the two and a half hour trip back home. About 30 minutes away from home Brandon wakes up from his nap histarically mad that he is still in his darn carseat! We make it home around 4:30 - just in time for another feeding. Talk about a long day. We've missed the temple so much and are truly thankful that we are able to go, it's just hard at this point because we can't really leave Brandon for 8 hours yet. Until that point he's trooping out there with us. This picture is us before we left the temple. Brandon was not cooperating and had no desire to look at the camera. Even then, it's a cute picture :)
