I am now 34 weeks pregnant and I am really starting to feel really pregnant. The back/hip/ankle/pelvis aches and pains, the crazy heartburn, plus feeling huge and feeling like you've got a ball between your legs all the time. It doesn't help that it takes me a good 30 seconds to turn over at night, thus waking me up and therefore not sleeping very well.
I think Malachi must have hit a growth spurt sometime mid last week because when you compare this weeks picture from last weeks (I didn't post that one on here), I look easily 2 inches bigger. It was Wednesday that my stomach started itching like crazy and I started waddling. I don't remember this stage coming on so strongly and suddenly with Brandon. Technically I have 6 week left, but considering I went spontaneously with Brandon at 38 weeks and Malachi has measured big this whole time, I'm not counting on that. I am considering that I have 4 weeks left to get ready, then I can just focus on relaxing and trying to get him to come out!
Other happenings...
I have been released as the Nursery Leader and now I am the Bulletin Coordinator. Compared to the other callings I have had, this is considerably on the easier side of things. However, I love organizing/secretarial stuff, so this is really right up my alley and I am excited!
Brandon went to nursery by himself officially for the first time yesterday. The last few weeks I had subs in because I couldn't handle it physically, but I still stopped in several times to check on things. When I left him he didn't care to say goodbye and I had to give him a forced hug! Then when I came back, he said "Hi Mommy!" Then I told him it was time to go. He said, "Noooo, play!!" and ran to the other side of the room. I never thought I would have to talk him into leaving nursery. He loves his new teacher and it sounds like he behaved well. Hopefully, this will be a continuing trend *knock on wood*.
When we were webcaming with my parents last week Brandon was sitting on my lap and pointed out the window to the back yard and said "Ssss, mommy!" I looked back and saw this in our backyard...
A very gross snake. Now, I can't believe Brandon knew what a snake looked like from so high and far away! I have no idea what kind of snake it was, but it was a good 3 feet long and completely black. Brandon was very disappointed when I tried to take a picture of it and it slithered away into the forest behind our house.
That's about all I have time for folks. Hopefully you'll get another update next week :)
